We understand firsthand how bad habits, misinformation, and life’s challenges can sabotage your physical and mental health.
We also know it’s never as simple as just exercising and eating right.
We firmly believe that a healthy, excited, and on-purpose you is inside every one of us.

Humble Beginnings

Younger Body and Mind was founded in 2023 with a focus on exercise and nutrition, driven by a strong desire to challenge the negative stereotypes and misconceptions about aging. OMG how many times we heard over and over “too old to do that,” “when are you retiring?” “too late” and on and on… But as we became more and more observant it became acutely obvious how everything in a person’s life is tied together (how you dress, act, exercise, think, stress, physical health etc.). This realization highlighted the need for a more holistic, mind-focused approach to health.

We also noticed that having a purpose, a spark, and spirit makes everything, including physical health, much easier. And the fact that we also struggled with so many of these things just like so many people out there, means we get it!

The mental aspect is absolutely HUGE. Take Joe, who is physically fit but mentally struggling, or Mary, who feels stuck and can’t find the motivation to get off the couch. Her spark is gone. So many times, what the world tells you is absolute BS.

We began to challenge everything. To question. To observe. To ask, “Is that true?”
How many people exist, but don’t truly live. Melissa’s grandfather used to say all the time “Are you living?” Are you? There must be a better way… and we set out to find it.

Key Ingredients to a Healthy Life

  • Recognizing that health is a combination of body, mind, and spirit,
    and that everything is interconnected — how you dress, act, speak,
    your attitude, health, sleep, and exercise.
  • Being Open to new ideas & Willing to challenging everything.
  • Adopting a lifestyle approach of small, consistent steps. This isn’t hard when we have a plan. Not hard- core military exercises and starvation diets. These never last!
  • Having a spark in your life – something you’re excited about. Using your gifts and following your purpose.
  • Understanding its never too late, and you are never too old.
  • Stop overthinking it. Get out of your own way. Small bits.
  • Life is and always has been a team sport – the value of relationships.
  • Increasing your awareness of self and the world around you.
  • And aligning your priorities, habits and the use of time & energy.
